Morris Horn, 92

Horn, 92, of 360 May St. died Tuesday April 12 in Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home. His wife of 55 years Evaline (Danker) Horn died in 1999. He leaves two sons, Marcus J. Horn of Parsippanny, NJ and Leslie P. Horn of Madi­son, New Hamp­shire; a daugh­ter, Lois wife of William Miller of Sharon, MA; three grandchildren, Rebecca K. Miller wife of Jeffrey Karen of Harrison, NY, Joseph B. Mill­er of Worcester, Saul L. Miller of Sharon; one great grandson Evan H. Karen and his closest friend Goodie Safer of Worcester. He was predeceased by four sisters.

He was born in Poland son of Joseph and Gittel Horn. He came to the United States from Poland as a very young orphan and grew up in New York with little help but great determina­tion. Morris started his career as a stock clerk at Macy's, later traveling across the U.S. for the Rowe and Canteen Co.'s work­ing in various sales positions. He then, in 1945, moved to Worcester, where he married Evaline Danker of Baltimore. That same year he joined as a partner in Worcester Cigarette Service Company and Worces­ter Tobacco Company, later ris­ing to become President of Ser­vomation/ Worcester Cigarette and Tobacco Co., from where he retired in 1967.

He enjoyed participating in men's group discussions. He further enjoyed leisure time ac­tivities, golfing, bowling and playing cards into his eighties, as well as maintaining a life­long interest in financial mar­kets.

He was a member of Shaarai Torah West and it's Brother­hood where he was a past Presi­dent and Worcester Lodge #600 B'Nai Brith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. TODAY, WEDNESDAY APRIL 13 in Perlman Fu­neral Home. Burial will be in B'Nai Brith Cemetery. Memori­al observance will be held this evening from 6 p.m. through Friday 6 p.m. at the Miller resi­dence, 19 Barefoot Hill Rd., Sharon, MA. Memorial contri­butions may be made to a chari­ty of the donor's choice.
