The Gardens start here in this section of the yard with the destruction of one of the evergreens seen in the upper left picture. To compensate for the fallen tree, a group perennials were planted and then expanded on until the present day. Finally, a railroad track with a edging of brick was laid to complete the garden. The process continued with the addition of the pond (see Pond Garden).
